FURTHER INFORMATION
Parking Car parking is available at the back of the venue to customers however space is limited, so get there early to avoid disapointment. Street parking is possible around the venue but be careful, it is advisable if you're getting there later to use one of the multistory carparks (near Rock City/Tap N Tumbler/Citilodge Hotel) in the city centre.
Disabled Facilities The actual venue is situated on the 1st floor and up 2 flights of stairs. If you have mobility issues or have trouble using stairs we can arrange for you to arrive at the venue and gain entry early before the doors open to the general public. Please email (info@wildsidefestival.com) to explain of any issue you might have regarding this so we can make our venue staff aware of any problems so they can make prior arrangements. Please be advised there are also no specific disabled facilities on the first floor where the venue is situated, however disabled car parking space is available in front of the entrance doors.
Age Limit Wildside Festival is a 14+ age event, however any looking like they are under 21 will be asked to produce ID - acceptable ID would be a passport, drivers license, birth certificate or Proof Of Age card. Anyone considered to be under the legal age limit for alcohol will be issued with a special wrist band which must be kept on at all times, removal of which could lead to you being permanently removed from the premises and no refund. If is an offence for persons under the age of 18 if they knowingly consumer or buy alcohol on our premises.
Strobe Lighting As the MG Ballroom is a music venue they often use strobe of flashing lights - this will be kept to a minimum however we ask customers who think they will be affected to seriously consider their position as we cannot be held liable for any medical issues arrising from the usage of lighting.
Our Policy & Conduct Of Customers MG BALLROOM OPERATES A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY ON DRUGS, DRUNKEN BEHAVIOUR AND DRUNKEN ABUSE. Any person considered by the Marcus Garvey Ballroom Management, or Wildside Festival staff to be a public nuisance will be permanently ejected without refund. Any person found to be "Crowd Surfing" or "Moshing" in the stage area will be ejected and again the venue operates a no re-entry policy. To reiterate if you look under 21 please bring ID as checks wil be made at the door, and spot checks within the venue if you're not wearing the correct wristband especially at the bars. We do not tolderate violent behaviour towards our staff. Any offenders WILL be prosecuted. Anyone found selling drugs in the venue will be held until the police arrive - no exceptions.
